Sannidhi Dialogues offers a chance for Indian arts enthusiasts, academics and students to engage with artists off-stage to learn more about music, dance and more. This new series of open talks will feature eminent performing artists and scholars who will talk about their craft, while sharing inspirations and challenges as artists and will also explore history and important stories too.
Sannidhi is Milapfest’s Institute for Indian Arts based at Liverpool Hope University.
Rukmini Vijayakumar is an Indian Bharatanatyam dancer and actress. Having studied varies forms of dance including jazz, tap, African, ballet and modern and toured extensively across the world, Rukmini has a wealth of experience to share with aspiring dancers and dance enthusiasts alike. Ahead of her performance on April 23rd 2016, attendees can gain greater insight into what challenges, motivates and inspires dancers like Rukmini on their journey to becoming one of the most popular young dancers of India.
