Uniting Arts through Hearts

SAMYO is the National Youth Orchestra for Indian Music in the UK. Founded in 2002, it aims at creating a platform for young Musicians to develop their skills as Individual artists and Orchestra musicians with a variety of development programmes, and an exclusive Indian Orchestral repertoire.

Teaching the students my compositions & to hear them practice & perform it was the highlight of the week for me. I enjoyed working with the Milap Team & all SAMYO & Tarang members. …Would love to come back soon to share my music with the audience & the students.

Rehearsals with Ranajitji were great, he is full of energy and his compositions are very interesting. Also enjoyed the concerts everyday in the evenings, especially the one by Anil Srinivasan.

The aspect of the summer school that I mostly liked was the quality of tuitions with the world renowned guru Bombay Jayshree ji, also enjoyed the Music India festival performances in the evenings.

Being part of Samyo has made me more confident as a musician, compared to how I felt about myself when I initially started off.
