Arya Kanya Gurukul is a unique school dedicated to female education in India, located in Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. The educational system at Gurukul is a blend of ancient Vedic heritage and the modern educational system with its orientation towards science & technology. Today, more than 30,000 students have passed through the portals of the Gurukul and have been spreading the message of pure Indian culture round the world – a culture which they have imbibed from their systematic all-round training at Gurukul.
This exciting program celebrates the platinum jubilee of this unique educational institution, whilst raising funds to support the brilliant but non affording students. Featuring performances by the students of Gurukul, the UK’s National Youth Orchestra for Indian Music, and Abhinava Dance Company from Bangalore, this rich evening of Indian culture is a rare opportunity to experience the vibrant sounds, colors and diversity of India.

Samyo – The National Youth Orchestra for Indian Music are celebrating their 10 year anniversary through 2012. Here, they perform a selection of celebratory pieces from their repertoire.
Abhinava Dance Company present RANG – Showcasing Indian dance at its most creative & upbeat, where the vitality & dynamism of traditions are re-energized with modern visions. The program features three stunning pieces from their repertoire. Each of the sequences is carefully crafted with original content, soulful music integrating Indian & world music, specially designed costumes, enchanting lighting & unique presentational qualities.
