It’s Day Eight of ‘12 Days of Milap’, and today we turn our focus to our latest venture: MilapSpace – our online home for Indian Arts education.

For over 15 years, Milap’s immersive summer schools in Liverpool brought together students from across the world to learn directly from India’s most respected gurus. These experiences transformed how students thought about, practised, and connected with their art, revealing a powerful appetite for nuance, stories, and truth – elements often missing from traditional learning structures. From this insight, MilapSpace was born: a carefully curated space shaped by real needs and lived experience.
Launched in 2025 to mark Milap’s 40th Anniversary, MilapSpace represents the natural evolution of more than four decades of our work in Indian Arts education. It responds directly to what learners and artists have consistently asked for: deeper understanding, richer context, and more meaningful connection.

MilapSpace is a dedicated online platform for learning Indian Arts. Whether you are just beginning or seeking to deepen your practice, it offers a space to learn, grow, and discover. Through our exceptional artist-led courses, the platform is designed to unlock rare insights – demystifying the complexities of Indian arts and offering a depth of learning often missing from mainstream Indian arts education.
With thoughtfully curated content and guidance from master practitioners, MilapSpace supports continuous discovery, enabling learners to revisit, refine and flourish in their artistic journeys on their own terms. The platform brings together deeper exploration, mentorship, live webinars and carefully curated tuition, creating a holistic and evolving learning experience.

The launch of MilapSpace marks Milap’s leap into the future – extending access to learners worldwide and breaking down long-standing barriers to education. By opening up knowledge once open to only a privileged few, MilapSpace makes Indian Arts learning more open, inclusive and accessible than ever before. Addressing a critical gap in Indian classical arts education, it offers high-quality, continuous learning for a global audience – and we are incredibly excited for this journey ahead and the possibilities it creates for learners everywhere.
