We’re beginning a slightly frosty 2021 with some really good news, having been nominated for the People’s Choice Award for Outstanding Contribution to Culture in this year’s Liverpool City Region Culture and Creativity Awards!
The awards were created to recognise the value and power for change that the arts, cultural and creative sector can bring in reinforcing the City Region as one of the most vibrant and exciting places to live, work, study, visit or do business.
Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region Steve Rotheram said:
“It has been so impressive to see how our Culture and Creative Arts sector has adapted to keep going over the past year. As we head into 2021, and the vaccine rollout picks up pace, I am sure that the sector, which is such an important part of who we are, will play a key role in our economic recovery. Good luck to all of the People’s Choice nominees, everyone has worked incredibly hard in tough circumstances and any one of you would be a worthy winner.”
In addition, we have received another nomination in the LCR Culture and Creativity Awards – recognising our creative work on a global level – the Impact Award, for International Reach!
We are of course delighted with the nominations – highlighting the crucial role we play in highlighting the arts and culture of the Indian diaspora, to the people of Merseyside as well as a truly international audience.
