As part of the Indika Fringe programme of events, Milapfest presents two evenings of Bollywood film celebrating the biggest film industry in the world with two popular movies, Veer Zaara and Rab Ne Bana De Jodi.

Veer Zaara

Celebrating the biggest film industry in the world, Milapfest presents an evening of Bollywood film at The Capstone Theatre. In this classic tale of love conquers all, Veer-Zaara follows the story of Veer Pratap Singh, an Indian, and Zaara Hayaat Khan, a Pakistani as they  try to overcome cultural boundaries in their quest for love. Written and Directed by the king of romantic films, Yash Chopra, the film features Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan along with two of India’s finest actresses, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee and boasts of a beautiful musical score composed by the late Madan Mohan.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Celebrating the biggest film industry in the world, Milapfest presents an evening of Bollywood film at The Capstone Theatre. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi follows the tale of a middle-aged man who having lost his love for life rediscovers it by assuming a new identity in order to rekindle the romantic spark in his marriage. The film is written and directed by one of India’s favourites, Aditya Chopra, and stars Bollywood favourite Shah Rukh Khan and the debut performance of actress Anushka Sharma.  The musical score is reflective of the theme, featuring a wonderful blend of traditional and contemporary Indian melodies.
