India’s highly acclaimed Bharatanatyam dance group ‘Spanda’ performs a selection of their most striking and innovative works.
Spanda presents Bharatanatyam, one of the most magnificent dance forms of India, in a fresh and imaginative new way Created and choreographed by world-renowned dancer Leela Samson, Spanda’s distinctive choreography rediscovers the essence of Bharatanatyam, highlighting its beauty through the use of subtle patterns and movements, and focusing both the dancer and audience on the beauty to be found in stillness.
Featuring six brilliant dancers, including Leela Samson, Spanda moves through dynamic group and solo choreography, with music by brilliant upcoming composers,all the while exploring new avenues of creativity in Bharatanatyam.
