International guest composers from the Instruments INDIA commission will premiere their new media creations resulting from their work with the Instruments INDIA sound archive. This sound archive created by Dr Manuella Blackburn, in collaboration with Milapfest, contains sound recordings from approximately 28 different Indian instruments. Milapfest musicians have contributed to this new and unique project since 2012 when the project first began. This showcase will demonstrate the unique fusion of electroacoustic music with Indian musical instruments.
