In a tribute to the Late Sir Richard Attenborough CBE, Milapfest and The Capstone Theatre present one of his greatest works and Academy Award winning film, Gandhi. The film charts the life of Mohandas K. Gandhi, a lawyer who became the famed leader of the revolutionary nonviolence movement for independence from Great Britain’s rule of India during the 20th century.

The film will be introduced by Mira Kaushik OBE, who will speak about her personal and professional association with the film and the Gandhi family, reflecting on the current relevance of Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy today.

Capstone Classics is a brand new international film series featuring some of the worlds most inspirational, thought provoking and favourite classic films.  Presented by The Capstone Theatre and Milapfest, the series will be held usually on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30pm. The year round film series will showcase Hollywood as well as Bollywood classics on the big screen.
