Maestro violinist, composer and the authentic torch bearer of the world-famous Lalgudi tradition, Krishnan is renowned for his masterly control of melody and rhythm. Born to a family of legendary musicians, he perfected his technique under the guidance of his father, Shri Lalgudi Jayaraman. Well-known throughout the world for his performances of classical and contemporary classical music, he has excelled in both traditional and experimental works. His natural ability, combined with focused training and a disciplined approach make him a incredibly talented teacher, and role model for aspiring musicians. He will be teaching the Carnatic Music Retreat course.
