Milapfest present their annual showcase of Indian orchestral and choral music, and their signature modern, classical style. The concert features two landmark ensembles, who together create a rare and special musical phenomenon full of bright young stars of Indian Music. Celebrate India! is a concert that marks the 2017 UK-India Year of Culture, and the musical direction features compositions which are nostalgic, emotional and uplifting. Featuring bright percussion, beautiful melodies and soulful singing Samyo and Sabrang take inspiration from the rich depth and variety of Indian musical culture, for this landmark event in England’s cultural calendar.
Abhijit Pohankar is an innovative keyboardist and face of new age Indian music. As a music producer, composer, singer and Indian Classical Keyboardist, Abhijit is considered as one of the most versatile & talented musicians of the young brigade.
The Sargam Choir is a childrens choir led by Dr Sudha Raja from Chennai, India.
Samyo has been musically mentored by versatile and highly acclaimed Indian musicians Jyotsna Srikanth and Vijay Rajput.
