Explore the link between artist and inspiration through the music that inspired Nasreen Mohamedi. Drop into an informal concert featuring members of Milapfest’s Tarang ensemble.

Nasreen Mohamedi is known to have listened to music while working in her studio and that one raga, Miyan Ki Todi, particularly inspired her. In the north Indian or Hindustani music tradition, ragas are written to be heard at a specific time of day, in this case Miyan Ki Todi is a late morning raga, making it perfect for the timing of this concert.

Performing Miyan Ki Todi and a selection of other morning ragas will be sitar duo, Raaheel Husain and Jasdeep Singh Degun, accompanied by Kousic Sen on tabla.
