This June, Giuliano Modarelli & Kousic Sen will perform at The Bridgewater Hall as part of the Live at Lunchtime free concert series.
Originally from Italy, Giuliano Modarelli is a London-based guitarist, composer and producer. Having studied Jazz at University, he went on to develop through the Indian classical tradition, studying under renowned sitarist Dharambir Singh, Indian classical maestro Buddhadev Dasgupta and his senior disciple Prattyush Bannerjee, his unique and exceptionally innovative style having led to collaborations with internationally recognised artists, including Shankar Mahadevan, Talvin Singh, Sarathy Korwar and many more.
In this concert, Giuliano will be accompanied by Kousic Sen, Milap’s artist-in-residence and a tabla player well known for his rhythmic mastery, whose intense and energetic performances continue to add dimensions to traditional concert experiences throughout the world’s most famous venues and festivals.
