One of the most well-loved vocalists of India and an undisputed star of Indian Classical music, Bombay Jayashri returns to England for the first time in 10 years to perform her signature programme of Carnatic compositions and improvisations. Milap presents Bombay Jayashri in concert with a stellar ensemble of accompanying musicians – H N Bhaskar (Violin), Sai Giridhar (Mridangam) and Giridhar Udupa (Ghatam) – all of whom are considered amongst the finest Carnatic music performers. Bombay Jayashri is known for her distinctive vocal range and quality,  incredibly varied repertoire of songs from various Indian languages and is frequently a headliner at major Indian music festivals.

“Bombay Jayashri rose to the occasion as always; her performance was measured, masterly and innovative” (The Asian Age)

“…she has emerged as a nightingale of Carnatic Music.” (The Hindu)

“…a rare Carnatic vocalists who has transcended the barriers of genres; she is equally at ease singing with a Western Orchestra in Helsinki as she is with Sanskrit shlokas at a concert dedicated to Lord Buddha.”  (The Asian Age)
