National Indian Arts Awards 2016

National Indian Arts Awards 2016

On Thursday 20th October, we hosted the second annual National Indian Arts Awards at London’s Nehru Centre. The awards acknowledge the hard work and dedication shown by recipients in promoting and nurturing Indian Arts in Britain. They also honour the rising stars in this field.

It was a great evening and we would like to thank all those who attended and who helped make the night a success. We would also like to extend a warm thank you to Aditi Subramanian for her wonderful opening Slokka performance and we were honoured to be joined by members of Smt. Saraswathy Packiarasa’s family who graciously helped us to introduce a special new scholarship in her name. We are also very grateful to Sir Peter Bazalgette, who took time out of his very busy schedule to preside over the awards, and to Bill Chambers, our new Chairman, for joining us.

We are already looking forward to next years awards!
